About the event

Sally Bulavko is a WSET Level 3 Wine Educator, a DipWSET candidate, and holds a BA in (-s-t-o-r-y-t-e-l-l-i-n-g-) history.
She is a restless mom to two strong girls and about a million crazy pets, a small business owner, a triathlete, and an absolute nerd. She fell in love with wine as a bottled moment of time and place while painting a winery in the famed "Hock" (Hochheim am Main) in the Rheingau region of Germany.Â
Sally is passionate about high-acid, aromatic wines embodying a distinct sense of place (A sense of place is beautifully exemplified by South African vineyards). She deeply appreciates producers who care for their soil microbiome and adopt a hands-off approach in the cellar, allowing the true character of the terroir to shine through. Innovative packaging and the joy of witnessing someone discover the remarkable nuances of wine drive her passion. Join us for an educational and engaging evening celebrating the rich heritage and exceptional quality of South African wines
